Catherine Thorpe, our Salt Lake Valley instructor, and director of the school, is from Paris, France, and a Graduate of the Sorbonne University. She has been a University of Utah French Instructor for 10 years, Utah Opera Coach, and a former director of the Alliance Française language school. She has directed the Vive la France  School for 12 years. Catherine teaches with an authentic French accent so you know your French accent will be natural. She also speaks clear English, which helps.

Utah Valley Tutoring

Deborah Tait, our Utah Valley instructor, is almost a native of France. She spent several years with her family in France, and lived on her own there for several more years. Deborah was a Sterling Scholar in French, and finished her Bachelors degree in French literature at the University of Neuchâtel in Switzerland. She has a Masters degree in French Teaching from the University of Utah, and was a French instructor at the U of U and its Sandy extension for 8 years. She now lives and teaches in Saratoga Springs.
